- Cardiovascular assessments;

- Diabetes and HIV testing;
- Dental, vision and hearing evaluations;
- Mental health consultations;
- Erectile dysfunction evaluations;

The wellness day will feature entertainment, family-friendly activities, nutritious food and a variety of local wellness vendors and small businesses.
“Community Wellness Day is a declaration that our lives matter, our health matters and our healing begins now,” said attorney and event organizer LaDray Gilbert in the release. “If we can prevent even one family from experiencing a tragedy like the one I faced with my father, then our mission has already succeeded.”
Gilbert’s father died only months after being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer.
“He never had a chance,” Gilbert told City Lifestyle. “This initiative is about giving others that chance—early, educated and empowered.”
In addition to fitness classes and mindfulness workshops, breakout sessions will include: “Brother, Let’s Talk About It,” focused on men’s mental health and barbershop talks; “She Matters Initiative,” centering women’s health and wellness; and “Grilling With My Daddy,” a celebration of fatherhood and family legacy.

“We’ve watched too many men and women die simply because they didn’t have access or awareness,” Gilbert said. “I’m building the kind of system I wish my dad had. That’s what this is about.”
The Inaugural Community Wellness Day will take place Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 5495 Old National Hwy, College Park, Georgia.
