Because my tubes had been tied, my health insurance refused to pay for an IUD, as use to help stop bleeding wasn’t contraceptive. Nothing would change their minds. So instead I was stuck with surgery. I would have loved to try this option first.
i just found out at the age of 50 that i had fibroids. i usually bleed heavy but i bleed for two weeks and thats not normal. made a doctor appointment and that's when i was told plus have really low iron.
I didn't have fibroids, but I did have occasional post menopausal bleeding, which I thought was normal. It's not. I had endometrial cancer & a precancerous polyp the size of an orange. Had total hysterectomy, cancer free for 3.5 years
I read some of the comments that was edit but I wanted to say to the young lady who has an 8 centimeter tumor I understand how you feel and I feel for you but when I finally did get my surgery to have my removed my tumor was a size of a basketball I can barely walk and I was in so much pain I still have effects from it because my stomach is so stretched out.
This story is really touching to me because at age 19 I was diagnosed with fibroid tumors and was told I would have to have a hysterectomy I refused and told the doctor I would die first before I even thought about having a hysterectomy. I'm not sure of the name of the the surgery that I had they removed the tumors and left my uterus then I was told I would never be able to have a child because of the uterus surgery that I had but God blessed me with three beautiful healthy kids a boy and two .
I been bleeding since 2019.took test but they still haven't done anything.its very hard trying to see your doctor since covid.i guess i need to find another doctor that will see ma and treat me.cause this is not right bleeding everyday buying 3 and 4 packs of pads 3 or 4 times a month.need some answers.
I'm 45 now & The past few years I haven't had my period in months, many of times was up to 3 months and then the 4 month it would last for 7-12 (one month, 15 days), I was told that I had low estrogen levels and that I should change my diet, less stress and take herbal supplements which wasn't the case... I have been scared but kinda use to this because in it all I thought it was, just age & family history... I'm glad I came across this... I will be very appreciated if I can receive some info
