I sadly disagree. While statistics may say this, I however am on the Frontlines. I have survived and struggled for nearly 40+ years, (diagnosis 1985) and even within my church ignorance abounds to this day. Those whom have tried to insult themselves from the world, have succeeded (SP) in perpetuating the cycle of fear and ignorance.

I also disagree with the report's findings. The alarming result of the study is how little those 11 to 27 years of age seem to know about how hiv is transmitted and how to prevent it. This demographic is significant because they are at the age where sexual experimentation is more likely to occur. Ignorance of HIV IS not the same as being more tolerant of those living with it. Also the idea that most people claim to know "something" about HIV is also misleading.
